We are excited to announce Buy Local Creston Valley is back in 2024!
With new projects, a few changes, and a whole lot of local business marketing and support!
Starting this project in 2021, we are grateful to be able to continue running Buy Local Creston Valley moving into 2024. During the past two years we have been working on plans to make Buy Local Creston Valley a self-sustaining community project that is beneficial to local Creston Valley businesses and the community.
This year, we have collaborated with the Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Kootenay Lake Chamber of Commerce to bring Creston Valley businesses and the community exciting new projects and another year of support.

Our goal for 2024 remains:
To provide Creston Valley businesses with a platform that is hyper-performant at marketing to the local community and tourists alike, helping businesses to be reached by many, entirely for free.
This work includes a website platform, social media support, spotlights and posts, event marketing, local news stories and more.
What’s new with Buy Local Creston Valley in 2024?
A Name Change
We have changed our name from Buy Local Creston to Buy Local Creston Valley to better represent the businesses in our area that service the greater Creston Valley from Crawford Bay to Yahk.
An updated brand
With a name change, we have taken the opportunity to update our branding and bring fresh life into the brand.
A new and updated website
We have done a significant overhaul to our website; this is not only due to our brand update and the inclusion of Stay Local (more below), but also to better serve our businesses. The website is more responsive across platforms and devices, optimized for SEO, and offers more customizations for your business pages.
It is important to note that previous links to the Buy Local Creston business directory pages do not work anymore and existing links will need to be updated. Over the next few days you can expect emails relevant to this and your business listing on the website.
Addition of a Stay Local category
We have added a Stay Local category to better support and showcase our local hotels, motels, and vacation businesses. We added this category to help travellers discover hidden gems close to home and boost the local economy by driving more bookings directly to these businesses.
